A Surrey Hills House

For this much-loved Edwardian house in the Surrey Hills, which has been home to three generations of the same family, we worked with the architect on a sensitive renovation that opened up the dining room and kitchen to reveal sweeping views of the garden and wildflower meadows beyond.

The beautiful, timeless kitchen takes its cue from the architecture of the house and its warm, relaxed atmosphere. A selection of cabinets are painted in Shaded White, Mizzle and Blue Gray by Farrow & Ball, while others are in solid English oak. Worktops are pure white quartz and English oak from a local sawmill in lovely wide staves, finished with a painstakingly sourced seal that keeps the wood looking as natural and bare as possible.
