City Living
This small ground-floor flat, in a pretty conservation area in south-west London, has been given a top-to-toe renovation. As well as lowering the floors to improve the ceiling heights and extending the rear, large bi-fold sliding doors have been added to bring the garden inside.
The new layout, comprising an open-plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room, called for lots of clever, built-in storage to conceal practical items that would disrupt the calm and flow of the space.
Cabinetry has been hand-painted in a bold olive green by Marston & Langinger, to echo the colours of the garden. This is combined with veiny Carrara Marble tops, aged solid brass knobs and drawer front labels, which add interest and a subtly classic accent.
