After this home was extended with a fabulous David Salisbury orangery Armorel was asked to design the new kitchen. This family of five has an enormous passion for cooking and baking and wanted a space where they could enjoy each other’s company, but also explore their individual creativity.
At its heart is a large island with an English oak top, which provides an enormous work space and a focal point around which family and friends can gather. Coffee is the family’s other love, hence the open dresser that serves as a station for state-of-the-art coffee machine and related accoutrements.
In the adjacent Laundry Room, cabinets conceal the washer dryer and boot room-style storage and there is the added luxury of an airing cupboard. All of which ensures the kitchen remains a calm, clutter-free environment.
Creamy, Compac worktops and a colour scheme of Skylight, Oval Blue and Light Blue by Farrow & Ball together with modern touches, including chrome cabinet handles, create a look that is classic yet fresh and welcoming.
“Armorel have produced a stunningly beautiful room which isn’t just a kitchen it’s the heart of our home. An amazing personal design service taking into account our practical needs and the rest of the house. Tamsin’s attention to detail and eye for colour has made our kitchen the room everyone gravitates towards." F.F. Guildford
